“Uncle Jimmy” is me, Scott Evans. I’m a musician who plays guitar and sings, both solo and with others. My Uncle Jimmy was also a real person, and he lived the way I like to play music: full steam ahead. Live music should be a party, and with Uncle Jimmy – it is!
I can be hired as a solo act, or as a duo or trio with other outstanding musicians.
I’ve always loved music. I dabbled in trombone and drums back in my school days, but it was when Stevie Ray Vaughan stopped me in my tracks that I decided to learn guitar. That was many years ago, and since then I’ve played many hundreds of gigs… solo, in bands, acoustic, and electric.
Over those many years and gigs I’ve become a professional. I know how to read a room for volume, energy, and song selection, and I’m a skilled performer who is always in the process of improving. Also… no rock star ego here (no demands for green M&Ms)!
So what do I play?
In addition to traditional Blues and Bluegrass songs (and the occasional original), here are some of the bands and musicians I cover:

So… house parties, porches, clubs, bars/restaurants, beer gardens, community greens, inside or outside, let me bring the vibe that is unique to live music!
